Mark Galbo

Founder & CEO

Mark Galbo is Rock and Roll Academy’s Founder and serves as CEO, guiding all facets of the business. His extraordinary experience has been that of an educator, published author, professional artist, and successful entrepreneur. Mark’s love of learning and performance fuse together to fuel his passion for RRA. For almost four decades, Mr. Galbo has supported a wide range of learners from very diverse backgrounds. As an artist, he’s performed and produced music, had five books published, and has worked in television, film, and recording. Mark's understanding of the creative process, the intrinsic drive of both artists and students to express themselves, led to his envisioning the RRA Learning Cycle, a method that develops social emotional skills through the power of music. Mark founded RRA as a sacred space where play, socialization, and student choice drive an educational experience grounded in equity, authenticity, and democratic principles. Mark continues in his role as entrepreneur, striving to inspire and transform the lives of those he serves.

Peter Hobert

COO

Peter Hobert oversees RRA’s strategy and operational logistics, encompassing the organization’s financial and legal functions. His passion as an education technology executive stems from his experience as a musician and educator. For the past 20 years, Mr. Hobert has focused primarily on education (birth through 12th grade), helping companies strive for operational excellence. He began his career as an actor, director, and Professor at DePaul University’s The Theater School in Chicago. Thereafter, Peter joined Houghton Mifflin as a network engineer and was quickly promoted to lead in various Vice President roles. Most recently, he held the position of Chief Customer Officer at Teaching Strategies, a leader in early childhood education. Peter’s experiences as an artist, educator, engineer and executive, culminate to fuel his dedication to making a definitive impact on the education industry.
