Summer Rock School 2007 brought us back in contact with many of our friends that we see each summer - how fast everyone is growing up! Maybe because right now I am listening to Sting's "Fields of Gold" but it all seems so bittersweet and beautiful to have the chance to share the musical lives of all these great kids as they mature into young adults... so many good feelings, so much good music and memories...thanks to everyone for making it so successful.

Summer Rock School 2006 was a resounding success! Over the course of ten weeks the Academy played host to over twenty young bands with students coming in from as far away as Georgia, Florida, Texas, California, Arizona, Utah, New York, New Hampshire, North Carolina and Washington D.C. These young musicians blended seamlessly with our local bands and brought so much energy, talent and enthusiasm to our scene.

With the overwhelming response to our program it is safe to say that the word is out! It was really rewarding to meet so many new students who, along with their families, made our classes at the Academy feel like a great big family reunion at times. toward the end of the summer we actually did have entire families booking time at the Academy and that was a lot of fun. We are left with such a warm feeling for all the friends we have made. We encourage everyone to keep in touch with us, join our email Rock and Roll Newsletter list, if you haven't already, and keep the fun rolling!

     We will work hard over the next weeks and months to add more interactive features to our Web Site. a Rock and Roll Academy Blog, a page where members can upload digital pictures from your phones, links to band Web Sites, etc. we are interested in what you have to say and in what you are doing! For right now, email me, Mark, on the Contact page and tell me what's up in your world and what you think would be cool to see on this Site.

     We've decided to keep the Summer Rock School page up year-round so it won't be too long before we'll be showing offerings for next year. So keep in touch, add us to your favorites list, and check back frequently to see what we can dream up together!
